“As water given sugar sweetens, given salt grows salty, we become our choices”
-Jane Hirshfield
Hi, my name is Ro. I’m a white-bodied somatic educator and Core Energetics practitioner with lived experience as gender fluid and neurodiverse. I live and practice on dxʷdəwʔabš land, colonized as Seattle, WA.
I believe the body is the gateway to healing, and each person carries an innate capacity for transformation, joy, and connection.
I am honored to offer 1-on-1 sessions in person and online, and look forward to holding group workshops. I love trees, dance, books, and connecting with people and the more than human realm.
What I offer clients
The work of Core Energetics is to free up energy that is stuck from suppressed emotions and limiting internalized belief systems. My central role as a practitioner is to allow and bear witness to each client’s unique healing journey. Our bodies hold deep intelligence, and we will use your body's wisdom to gently explore patterns and challenges. Suppressing feelings leads to many physical, spiritual, and emotional ailments. I make space for you to share feelings and expressions deemed “unacceptable” elsewhere — your anger, rage, frustration, confusion, grief, despair, envy; the emotions our culture does not create healthy space for.
This work is not about “fixing”; it is about coming home to yourself and your body in all of your beauty, simplicity, and complexity.

My training and professional background
I trained at the Seattle School of Body Psychotherapy and work with clients of all backgrounds, experiences, and cultures. I love working with young people, and can see clients aged 14 and older with guardian consent. I continue my education through learning opportunities with many organizations, most recently a Masterclass on Narcissism and Borderline from the Netherlands Institute of Core Energetics and an Oakland-based Generative Somatics course on Healing Embodied White Supremacy.
As an educator I am National Board Certified in English Language Arts for adolescents and early adults, with current certificated status and volunteer clearance in Seattle Public Schools. I also co-facilitate annual education cohorts as a volunteer with the Coalition for Anti-Racist Whites. CARW formed in Seattle following the 1999 WTO protests, when organizers of color asked the white-bodied activists to get together and do some work on themselves in racial caucus before showing up in mixed spaces.
